Since finding out I had a mild form of eczema back in 2018, I’ve been on a journey to find products suited to help keep my skin clear, healthy, hydrated, and glowing. It took me a while (2 years to be exact) to figure out the ins and outs of products suited for my unique skin type, but at last I’ve found the icing on the cake! I finally found products that is crated to my skin type, made with natural ingredients, and affordable. So here’s my 4 step morning skincare routine for sensitive & eczema prone skin. ![]() Cleanse
Waking up every morning and cleansing your face is the first step towards healthy skin. I use the Oats and Green Tea Facial Cleanser by My Butter Bar Skin Care. I’ve been using this cleanser for over a year now and I really love it.
I use this cleanser twice a day (morning and night) and my skin has never felt nor look as good as it do now. However, I do want to point out that I’ve always had really great skin, but over the years my skin became, dry, dehydrated, and glow-less. A part of that was due to my mild form of eczema and my lack of knowledge about the products I was using. Applying a Facial Mist or TonerThe next step is to hydrate your skin for a clean and refreshing feeling. I use the Yucca Facial Mist and I absolutely love it! I was never big on using facial mists or toners because I thought it was unnecessary and didn’t really do much for your skin, but I was wrong. This particular facial mist
Prior to using this facial mist I used the Thayer’s facial toner and although I thought it did a great job, the ingredients weren’t suitable for my skin type and it actually did more harm then good the longer I used it. Surprisingly when I stopped using it, my skin wasn’t affected in the least bit, which is why I didn’t use any other toners or facial mist until I came in contact with the Yucca Hydrating Facial Mist. Let’s just say this step is absolutely necessary for my skin now! MoisturizeAfter applying my facial mist, now it’s time to moisturize! My go to moisturizer is the Oats & Green Tea Moisturizer. It’s truly an amazing product and works so well for my sensitive & eczema prone skin.
The moisturizers I used in the past caused clogged pores, left my face looking greasy, and didn’t have ingredients aided to protect my skin from eczema inflammation. However, the Oats & Green Tea Moisturizer provides all the benefits to keep my skin clear of any break outs and moist throughout the day. Apply SunscreenAt last, we’ve reached the final step in my morning skincare routine and that is applying sunscreen. I use the Black Girl Sunscreen and it is the best sunscreen I’ve ever used hands down!
The sunscreens I’ve used in the past left my skin greasy, a white cask after applying, and contained ingredients that just didn’t do anything good for my skin. Luckily I didn’t use them long enough to cause any skin irritations due to my eczema. ![]() That’s It!This completes my morning skincare routine.
